Formula One is the most popular racing series in the world, and though Honda hasn't had an active team since 2008, it continues to play a role by providing technology, know-how, and expertise. The teams that utilize it benefit in many ways, and we're hoping that one in particular will be racking up many checkered flags in 2015, using a vital piece of Honda hardware.
McLaren Racing is set to use a new engine built by Honda especially for Formula One, as new standards are adopted that will reduce the size of the engines for better safety, but still offer the same levels of excitement on the scene. This new engine will find its way on to a more aerodynamic frame to keep performance numbers up, and it will still emit that wonderful sound a high-powered F1 vehicle does as it revs the engine up and navigates all the turns on the tracks of Monaco and more.
To give us a preview of what to expect, Honda put out a YouTube audio and it's quite cool. That's why we encourage you to check it out at http://youtu.be/431h20gvm3M.
Then we encourage you to come check out our collection of new Honda models here at Barbour-Hendrick Honda Greenville. In our Greenville, NC showroom, we'd be happy to continue the conversation and discuss vehicle specifications and technology, answer any questions you might have, and arrange test drives.
