2023 Honda Civic Sales in Greenville, NC

Honda has stepped up with the last two generations of the Civic. Each iteration has been amazingly impressive, with many notable updates while maintaining the nameplate's well-known sporty drive.

The 2023 Civic is the most mature version of the nameplate. Almost Accord-like in design, it has clean lines and a distinguished appearance that will stand out wherever you drive.

Interior Review of the 2023 Honda Civic

Honda revamps the cabin of the Civic for a minimalistic look. The cabin's width is underscored by the flat, padded dashboard and a long thin grille with hexagonal holes that ingeniously shrouds the aircon vents. Jutting out above is a 7-inch touch screen, and below are three generously-spaced climate control knobs with an integrated narrow digital screen.

Just like the body, the layout is highly dignified. It has very minimal chrome effects to act as highlights to the black motif. The infotainment system is intuitive and has eight speakers, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and Bluetooth® connectivity. It has a large pocket at the front end of the center console for devices and a highly elaborate multifunction steering wheel.

Exterior Review of the 2023 Honda Civic

Minus all the aggressive lines and angular surfaces, the Civic has adulted and exudes a more formal, dare I say it, dignified exterior. Its larger body has a lot to do with it as well. It is almost Accord-like in size and bearing, which robs it a little bit of that youthful look, but we all have to grow up someday, right?

It is a sedate aesthetic package compared to what Civic fanboys like, but it isn't too much of a departure. The fastback-type body still oozes a certain amount of sexiness, maybe not at the same level as the 10th generation, but it's still there. The good thing about it is the nameplate opens itself up to a new set of buyers, those who prefer a less juvenile design.

Power and Performance of the 2023 Honda Civic

The 2023 Honda Civic uses one engine only, a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four sending 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission or a six-speed manual (Civic Sport Touring Hatchback).

The Civic doesn't jump off the line like it used to, but it still has considerable pace. Acceleration is mild at best, even in Sport mode, but still brisk enough to keep the drive exciting. It has a lot of pull under 2,000 RPM, so going beyond it is just a total waste of fuel unless you are in such a hurry that every second counts. Its best feature is how it handles pressure.

Handling is splendidly spirited. The Civic still knows how to dive into corners and stays balanced around bends and tight turns. Under all the prim and proper costume is an athlete raring to provide performance, and if you know what to do behind the wheel, it will willingly oblige.
