Earlier this month Honda announces its continued dedication to the growth of its electrified vehicle portfolio at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. According to hondanews.com, this plan includes the development and production of a totally new hybrid model which will be made in the United States and will be released to the public in 2018. It also calls for a continued innovation upon its two-motor hybrid system that is already being used by the Accord hybrid which gets up to 49mpg, and applying it to be used on their light truck lineup. This is all towards the goal of having over two-thirds of their sales come electrified Honda vehicles. In the meantime, that development has resulted in the release of the new Clarity series with new Clarity Fuel Cells.
