The Honda Civic has had a long, storied history stretching back its ten generations. From its roots in the 1970s, right up through its current generation, it has proved its mettle as one of the most advanced and accessibly priced compact cars that money can buy. All of that is thanks to one model: the N600, which was the brand's first model to be sold stateside.

The N600 was built specifically for the American market, where the higher interstate speeds necessitated a more powerful model than the sibling N360. To accomplish this, Honda fitted the 1,100 lb. N600 with a cc600 two-cylinder with some remarkable performance for its time. With a 9,000 rpm redline and an 82 mph top speed, the car achieved sales of 25,000 in the four years it was on sale. After that, Honda refined the model into the Civic we know today.

Of course, the Civic (and the rest of our lineup, ahem) continues to break boundaries and win hearts. To meet our models and see how they'll fit into your daily drive, contact our Honda dealership in Greenville, NC at your convenience.
