Remember when we told you that Europe would be getting a Honda Civic Sport? Now our American-based engineers are following suit; the newest generation of the Honda Civic, which was unveiled this week at the 2015 New York Auto Show, sports a bold, sporty new design in an aerodynamic package.
The 2016 Civic will be available as a sedan, a coupe (see the bright lime green concept below), and a hatchback. Sport performance-oriented versions of the model, including the Civic SI and the Civic Type-R, which was previously unavailable in the U.S., will be available for Honda enthusiasts who prioritize speed and power.
The new Civic will feature a brand new, turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed automatic or CVT transmission, LED running lights, and a wrap-around taillight design.
