When it comes to the engine, the standard option is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that generates 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with all trims except the Touring and is paired to a continuously variable automatic. It also comes in front-wheel drive. The Sport, EX-L, and Touring can be had with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.
The 2019 Kia Optima
The 2019 Kia Optima is offered in four unique trim levels: LX, S, EX, and SX. There are three engine options to choose from. The LX and S come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The EX gains a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 178 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. If you choose the top trim, the SX, you receive a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 245 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The base LX gets you several features such as HD radio, satellite radio, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 60/40-split rear seat, lane keeping assist, a rearview camera, forward collision warning, heated mirrors, automatic headlights, and much more. The S adds LED taillights, fog lights, 18-inch wheels, and more while the EX receives dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, a hands-free unlocking trunk, heated front seats, and much more.
The top trim provides LED headlights, ambient interior lighting, and a variety of other amenities. As you can see, the Optima brings plenty of features to the table.
