The 2019 Honda Accord

When you choose the 2019 Honda Accord, you'll find that both available engines are powerful, the trim levels come with incredible features, and the interior offers plenty of room for you and your passengers. There are five separate trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Engine options are a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that puts out 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. This engine is standard on all levels except the Touring and comes in front-wheel drive. It is paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The next engine option is a turbocharged 2.0-liter that is offered with the Sport, EX-L, and Touring trims. It delivers 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.

When it comes to comfort, you and your passengers will enjoy the many features offered in the cabin. For instance, you'll receive leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power-adjustable seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. These features are spread across each trim, just like the tech features which include HD radio, a USB port, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless phone charger, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other features.

As far as safety is concerned, you'll appreciate the blind-spot monitoring, automatic wipers, adaptive suspension dampers, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. As you can see, the Accord has lots to offer!

The 2019 Nissan Altima

Five trim levels are offered with the Nissan Altima: S, SR, SV, SL, and Platinum. When it comes to engine options, the standard is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder which produces 188 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque and paired with a continuously variable transmission. It comes in front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is optional. Drivers can also choose a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that generates 248 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with the continuously variable transmission and is offered in front-wheel drive only. It can come with the SR or Platinum trim levels.

Some of the technology features you'll find scattered across the trim levels include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB ports, satellite radio, a nine-speaker Bose audio system, a navigation system, and more. When it comes to safety, you'll appreciate the 360-degree camera, rear automatic braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, LED fog lights, automatic high beams, LED headlights, a rearview camera, and forward collision.

There's also plenty of comfort features as well. You and your passengers will appreciate the leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, ambient lighting, a sunroof, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. You also receive a 60/40-split folding rear seat for extra cargo room.

How Can You Choose?

When it comes to comparing the 2019 Accord and the 2019 Altima, it's quite difficult. Both vehicles offer five trim levels, several engine options, and a wide range of features. Inside, you'll find a spacious cabin with both the Accord and the Altima. If you're seeking more engine options, you might consider the Altima. For most sedans, however, engine power is unnecessary. That's why, overall, we believe the 2019 Honda Accord wins out.
