Choosing the Right Car Seat

Choosing a car seat can be a very difficult process. It was tough finding the right vehicle that would provide you and your family with all of the safety features that you need. Now you need to make sure that your children are safe in their seats based on their ages and their sizes. Let's take a more detailed look:

If you have a very young child or newborn then you will need to invest in an infant carrier car seat. This car seat can be used rear facing up until the child is about 25 pounds. Each brand of car seat is a bit different.

After the infant car seat comes the convertible seat. This is what your child will use rear facing until they are about 40 pounds. Then they graduate to using the seat facing forward until they are ready to progress to the booster seat that uses the traditional lap belt.
